4/8/2009: CMTA Membership UpdateCMTA Doubles Membership—Annual
Dues to Be Lower in 2009
In May of 2008, the CMTA began celebrating its 25th anniversary year with an offer of free membership to anyone who joined by April 30, 2009.
That date is fast approaching, and anyone who is not a member can click here to join now and receive a free year of membership.
We're also pleased to announce that we've already reached our goal of doubling our membership—the CMTA now has 4732 members and counting—but we're still not satisfied.
We can't be, not when there are an estimated 2.6 million people with CMT worldwide.
Whether we're talking about research, access to health care, or anything that has an impact on our situation, we have no stronger advocates than ourselves—our membership. That's why we're going to continue our effort to increase our membership in 2009.
In addition to our ongoing effort to create awareness though the media, our website, and other publications, we're going to work harder to take advantage of social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.
Beginning May 1, 2009, we're also going to reduce our annual membership dues from $40 to $25.
To all those who are members, we thank you for joining us in the fight to tackle CMT.
To all those who aren't—now is a great time to get involved! |
